Introduction to the Sewing Machine



Are you interested in learning how to sew on a machine?  Before diving into your first project, you may want to get acquainted with the fundamentals of sewing, the sewing machine parts and its different attachments and their uses. This 2.5 hour introduction runs you through different stitches, needle basics and how to maintain and clean your machine. We will practice basic seam techniques, cover fundamentals of fabrics and so much more. You can bring your own machine or if you don't have one, use ours and see if you want to invest in one.
Sessions: Saturday July 11, 10am-12:30pm.

Instructor: Suzanne Kraft
Instructor Bio: Suzanne has 25+ years of professional experience in the Apparel Industry. She owned her own design line called Donna & Toots- 2000-2021 and now has opened Sewcial Studies in Historic Downtown Milwaukie. Suzanne has been teaching sewing classes for over 20 years and cannot wait to continue for another 20!
