ISM101: Introduction to the Sewing Machine
Are you interested in learning how to sew on a machine? Before diving into your first project, you may want to get acquainted with the fundamentals of sewing, the sewing machine parts and its different attachments and their uses. This 2.5 hour introduction runs you through different stitches, needle basics and how to maintain and clean your machine. We will practice basic seam techniques, cover fundamentals of fabrics and so much more. You can bring your own machine or if you don't have one, use ours and see if you want to invest in one. Saturday June 6, or 20, 10am-12:30pm, or Tuesday Evening June 30th. 6-8:30pm.

KSC101: Kids Sewing Camp
Kids are curious and imaginative. The skill of sewing can encourage and make their imaginings a 3 dimensional reality. And not to mention - super fun!!! During three days of sewing and crafting kids will have the opportunity to sew a pair of shorts, a snap wallet and a stuffy- be it a monster or animal of their creativity. No sewing experience necessary - just a desire to learn. Ages 9-14, Tuesday-Thursday, 9:30-12:30 June 23-25 or July 21-23. Early drop off an option please contact shop to discuss.

This is a class for those who want to add a fun short sleeve top to their wardrobe. A boxy top with the option to add front pockets and bias trim. Side slits for movement. This pattern works for all body types and will be modified to work with your measurements. The perfect opportunity for confident beginners to expand their skills.

SST101: Tote Bag Class
This is a great class to learn the basics of sewing, brush up on your sewing skills or just gather with other sewists and make a lined semi structured tote bag. Three Pocket options-add none, one, two or all three-it's up to you! This is a three week class. Thursday Evenings - April 23, 30 & May 7, 5:45-8:30pm or Monday Evenings June 1, 8 & 15, 5:45pm-8:30pm.

Learn the basic Sashiko stitches and build upon them to add embellishment to textile pieces. Basic Stitches Friday April 10, 6-9pm or Kugari-Sashi Stitching (weaving of thread utilizing basic Sashiko stitch foundation) Friday May 15, or June 5. or June 19th, 6-9pm. $60/session

Are evenings best for you to sew? Want to work on a project with others and get help? Starting in August, we will be doing Third Thursday Of the Month Evening Sews. Starting in March you can use the tools, machines and get assistance on your projects on the 3rd Thursday of the month , May 21 & June 18, 6-8:30pm. $25/session.
